So I found this box full of cassette tapes at mom dukes crib during my routine Sunday dinner visit. The collection consists of some of the greatest albums ever from 1994 to 2000 when my mother was finally able to buy me a discman. This box even has TDK’s with 90 minutes of recorded freestyles and rare tracks played by mix show DJs. What’s so bugged out is how I obtained most of these records. My mom used to give me $15 a week in allowance. When I developed a true love for music, I would spend $10 weekly on the newest, hottest albums that released. This caused an issue because I would be left with $5 to buy myself lunch for 5 days. What I ended up doing was robbing, stealing, and trafficking in order to maintain my habits and still afford food after school. I’m not trying to glorify the life I lived, I’m just pointing out what my affinity for music drove me to do, but I’m definitely happy I changed my ways. Now if I can only find a tape deck…

I don’t know if y’all knew this about me, but I’m a huge documentary buff. This ESPN 30-for-30 documentary about the Fab Five is definitely in my top 5. This is part 1 of 8 parts. Check out the other 7 parts if you feel the way I feel about this documentary. This is most likely what I’ll be watching tonight. Peace!
